Cherish – altered canvas

So I’ve completed my first canvas and I am super excited to share. It was a ton of fun to make and I can’t wait to make more. I’m taking a class over at Scarlet Lime with Christy Tomlinson and I’m having a blast. She is so full of energy, ideas and inspiration – she puts so much energy into her classes, it’s amazing. If you ever have the opportunity, I highly recommend you check her classes out.

Here it is — a 6×6 canvas. I used pink and red in honor of the Girlie Grunge February challenge — used sheet music from the University of Louisville Music Library (thanks to my friend Leslie!) and the Donna Salazar Spellbinders Roses die. It’s the first time I’ve used it — and I LOVE it!!! Such cute flowers — so many options and possibilities. There’s a bit of glitter on the flowers. And a bubble in the little file folder. I suspect I will be able to make art without bubbles once I get the hang it and play a little more. But, bubble and all: I am happy with it! All in all, it’s a project full of firsts and it just feels right. Thanks for stopping by.
